John Newton (estadounidense, 1725-1807) escribió el poema. La tonada se llama AMAZING GRACE o NEW BRITAIN, la cual es una melodía norteamericana anónima que fue publicada por primera vez en la Columbian Harmony (1829). This is hymn number 41 in Las voces del camino with a new Spanish translation © 2009 Ervin Barrios (Mexican, b. 1954). This hymn is also known as "Sublime Gracia" among many Spanish speakers. The original hymn is number 205 [“Amazing Grace”] in Singing the Living Tradition. John Newton (American, 1725-1807) wrote the lyrics. The tune is named AMAZING GRACE or NEW BRITAIN.
