| Esta canción es del mártir Víctor Jara (chileno, 1932-1973), quien la compuso y cantó en los 60. Colaboró en la composición otro cantautor, Patricio Castillo (chileno, n. 1946). El arreglo del archivo MIDI se hizo a base de una partitura coral escrita a mano por Rosa Alarco Larraburre (peruana, 1911-1980). «Plegaria a un Labrador» no fue aceptada para Las voces del camino, aunque es famosísima entre los buscan la libertad y democracia en la América Latina. Se espera que pueda aparecer en alguna futura edición cuando la Asociación Unitaria Universalista esté más enterada de la importancia de la Nueva Canción. |
| This song is by the martyr Víctor Jara (Chilean, 1932-1973), who composed and sang it in the 1960s. Another singer-songwriter, Patricio Castillo (Chilean, b. 1946) collaborated in the composition. The arrangement for the MIDI file was made from a handwritten choral score by Rosa Alarco Larrabure (Peruvian, 1911-1980). “Plegaria a um Labrador” [“A Worker’s Prayer”] was not accepted for Las voces del camino, although is is very famous among those who seek liberty and democracy in Latin America. One hopes that it can appear in some future edition when the UUA is better informed about the importance of Nueva Canción. |
