Este himno es una traducción al español del himno número 407 [«We're Gonna Sit at the Welcome Table»] de Singing the Living Tradition. Ervin Barrios (mexicano, n. 1954) hizo la traducción © 1999.Originalmente una canción espiritual de los negros norteamericanos, se hizo famoso (con otra letra) durante el Movimiento por los Derechos Civiles en los Estados Unidos. La tonada se llama WELCOME TABLE, y el arreglo lo hizo Mary Allen Walden (estadounidense, 1946-1997). No fue incluido en el himnario Las voces del camino.

This hymn is a Spanish translation of hymn number 407 ["We're Gonna Sit at the Welcome Table"] in Singing the Living Tradition. Ervin Barrios (Mexican, b. 1954) is the author of the translation © 1999. Originally an African-American spiritual, it became famous (with different lyrics) during the Civil Rights Movement in the United States. The melody is named WELCOME TABLE, and the arrangement was done by Mary Allen Walden (American, 1946-1997). It was not included in Las voces del camino.
